Losing weight made easy!

August 4th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Lose fat gain muscle

I am reminded of one funny incident during my teens. I was not as tall as the rest of class mates and this thing worried me constantly. I would keep on dreaming of growing as tall as most of them in my class (of course, there were other short girls too), and would keep harping about it all the time to my people at home, who had really got sick of my lamentations and would assure me that being tall was not everything in world and other things matter too to become a complete person. But, do teenagers really understand this? Well, at least I didn’t!

One day, to my utter delight and amazement, I cam across one ad in a magazine which said that one could grow taller by six inches in a short duration by following the program prescribed by them. I was on cloud nine and force my mom to buy the same which in those days cost around three dollars. My mother refused vehemently at first, but then gave in later. The package arrived and I read every chapter of it. Want to know what it contained? It spoke of trying some exercises which would help to make your neck lean , reduce calf muscles, have a slimmer waist which help you to look taller and then wear vertical stripes and not horizontal ones, to wear light hues and not dark ones and then to wear some heels and not flats! I felt like consigning the book to dustbin. In the subsequent years, I did manage to gain a few inches naturally without any aids. Do not please get carried away by ads. They are only for gullible people and masterminded by commercial agencies to sell their products, though some may be authentic but they should not promise the moon for you. Do not fall for anything that promises dramatic results, which are only illusive. Wisdom lies in following what your body accepts and what your physician thinks is right for you. If you want to achieve results in any area like shedding weight or improving looks, follow a disciplined and trusted approach in exercise and diet in a natural manner without tormenting your body, and you will surely be happier at the end of it.
